Moving from your house to a smaller retirement home or senior living apartment can be hard, but Interior Makeovers’ Senior Living Design services can ease the transition. Using my interior design skills, I’ll help you downsize so you can bring the right mix of comfort and familiarity with you to make your new place feel like home.
How It Works
The Consultation
We’ll start with a tour of both your existing home and your new senior living apartment. I’ll look at what furniture you have and how you use it to get a sense of your personal style. I’ll select the furniture, accessories and artwork for your new home from your existing belongings, taking space, function and sentiment into account.
The Floor Plan
I’ll create a detailed floor plan for your new apartment that provides suggested placement for your furniture, accessories and artwork, recreating the look, feel and function of your home within the new space. If you like, I can help implement any of the suggested room arrangements, repositioning furniture, hanging pictures, placing accessories and décor to make your new apartment feel like home. I can also help direct the movers on move-in day.
Additional Services
Fill in the Blank Personal Shopping
If you are missing any items that are needed to complete your new home, such as a new bedspread, closet organizers or a smaller sofa, I can help you fill in the blanks by accompanying you on a shopping trip to find the perfect piece.
Staging To Sell Your Existing Home
I can help you declutter and depersonalize your existing home to create well-styled, inviting spaces that that will help your house sell quickly and for as much money as possible.
Pricing
Payment by cash or check is due the day services are rendered. Heavy furniture will require movers paid for by the client.
